Migration Arrangement to VHIS Certified Plans for Existing Individual Indemnity Hospital Insurance Plans’ Policy Owners

Under the Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (“VHIS”), policy holders of designated individual indemnity hospital insurance plan which is underwritten by FWD Life Insurance Company (Bermuda) Limited (“FWD”) (“Designated FWD IHIP”) before the implementation of the VHIS (1 April 2019) (“existing IHIP policy holders”) are entitled to a one-off migration facilitation offered by FWD.

Before migrating the policy from Designated FWD IHIP to FWD VHIS Plan, Eligible Customers should consider various factors, including but not limited to the followings:

• underwriting may be required;
• differences in benefits and coverage offered;
• differences in premium;
• differences in general exclusions; and
• new exclusions and/ or loading may apply after migration
