FWD Launches #stayhomemoments Campaign

Offering free COVID-19 protection to all Hong Kong citizens while partnering with local merchants to encourage social distancing

FWD Hong Kong (“FWD”) has launched multiple benefits, waivers and claims measures against the new coronavirus (COVID-19), and is today announcing another initiative with the launch of the “#stayhomemoments” campaign. The campaign involves collaborations with different merchants to offer free COVID-19 protection for all Hong Kong citizens to encourage them to stay home and flatten the curve. FWD will kick off the campaign by partnering up with one of Hong Kong’s largest food and beverage delivery service platforms, foodpanda, to offer free COVID-19 protection to all foodpanda delivery staff and employees during this period. foodpanda customers may also register online for this free protection. The campaign protects both delivery workers and customers so that your food can still be served and enjoyed safely while maintaining social distancing.

FWD will launch the "#stayhomemoments" campaign. From now until May 15th, this campaign will provide free COVID-19 protection for all foodpanda customers who make orders through its service, and includes hospital cash benefit and death benefit up to HK$240,000.

Stay home and enjoy delicious cuisines   FWD offers free COVID-19 protection
Stay in and enjoy good food from the comfort of your own home to fight against the pandemic. During the promotion period, qualified persons (Hong Kong or Macau ID card holders aged 18 or above, and currently residing in Hong Kong or Macau) who purchase relevant services on the foodpanda website or mobile app will obtain a link to the FWD "Free COVID-19 Protection" registration page. Registration is easy – simply fill in the promotion code provided by foodpanda and complete the registration form online. Customers can also register for children under 18 years old who reside with them for the same free protection.


Free COVID-19 Protection＃
Hospital Cash Benefit
- HK$5,000 per week, up to 8 weeks (a partial week will be counted as a full week) if the Insured is diagnosed within the Coverage Period and requires hospitalization; 
- An advanced payment of 4 weeks, equals to a one-off payment of HK$20,000, will be paid once the Insured is diagnosed. 
Death Benefit
- HK$200,000 will be paid if the Insured is diagnosed of COVID-19 and passes away as a direct result within the Coverage Period

Free extended coverage for children
- At the time of registration, the applicants can extend the free coverage to all his/ her children aged below 18 who are residing with the applicant *.

Register today, and the coverage will be effective for 45 days starting tomorrow
- The coverage will be effective for 45 days, starting from the day after successful registration on the FWD "Free COVID-19 Protection" registration page^.

* Quota for child dependent applicants shall be based on available numbers displayed at the time of registration.
^ Each individual is limited to a one time coverage only. If multiple registrations are made by the same individual, the coverage commencement date shall be based on the first registration only.
