Hong Kong, 15 August 2018 – Hong Kong’s first large-scale obstacle race the FWD MAX Limitless Challenge 2018 (“Limitless Challenge”) will be held at the Central Harbourfront Event Space on 1 and 2 September 2018.
The distinctive race consists of 11 towering obstacles inspired by local urban culture. All Hongkongers can join the race and push themselves to new physical limits and achieve new breakthroughs. Alongside the race, there is a “Limitless Carnival” with various fascinating activities and performances for families to kick back and relax in the last weekend of summer.

11 breathtaking obstacles over four distinctive race routes
The Limitless Challenge will be divided into 300M Limitless Runderland (individual/family), 1KM Limitless Challenge (individual/team), 1KM Limitless Fun (individual/team) and 5KM Limitless Challenge (individual). There will be 11 obstacles for competitors to overcome in all races.
The Limitless Challenge is an obstacle course challenge inspired by the most authentic elements of our everyday urban jungle. Our day-to-day experience will be transformed into unexpected race obstacles which are beyond imagination. Minibuses and taxis can be found throughout the race course, as well as water-filled traffic barriers will be littered around as obstacles. This will be a spectacle rarely seen on the harbourfront with resonance for all Hongkongers.
Special Olympics athletes will be joining the Limitless Challenge, they will strive to overcome the hurdle of communication impairments through sports in their daily life. They will also team up with students from mainstream schools and FWD staff to embrace the challenges in this race.
“Work Hard, Play Hard!” on-stage performance echoes limitless challenge
To set the tone for the event, there will be various on-stage musical and sports performances. Being renowned for pushing beyond boundaries, Gin Lee and Supper Moment, will support competitors with live performances. There will be a range of other exciting performances, such as musical acts, trail bike stunt team and a high-intensity rope-skipping performance, to impress participants with their passions and accomplishments. To celebrate these exciting moments, popular Hong Kong actresses Ali Lee and Eliza Sam will take part in the event and fire the starting gun for the race finals.
One last holiday hurrah before school starts
Apart from the obstacle races and talented performances, the weekend’s line up of activities will also be a one-of-a-kind experience for kids before the new school term begins. The carnival will be the last biggest party for the kids to enjoy before the end of their school holidays. Children are welcome to climb up the Tippy Top of the tailored obstacle to get a birds-eye view of the limitless power of the competitors, and then slide all the way down to live out their holiday excitement.
