Igniting Everyday Passions of Hong Kong People with Unique Experiences
Hong Kong, 29 April 2017 - FWD Hong Kong announces the launch of the FWD MAX Experiential Platform (“FWD MAX”), an online-to-offline engagement platform aiming to encourage Hong Kong people to ignite their passions for life and pursue their aspirations. Every Hong Konger, including FWD customers, can be a Maximizer (https://fwdmax.fwd.com.hk/)! Simply by sharing and participating in the platform’s diverse activities, users can earn MAX points to redeem life-enriching experiences and live life to the max.
Always ready to celebrate living, FWD Hong Kong officially unveiled FWD MAX last night at the “Be A Maximizer Party” in Central. Powered by cutting-edge insurance technology (“InsurTech”), FWD MAX offers Hong Kongers unique experiences under four pillars: Sport and Action that get people energised to be the best you can be; Travel and Adventure that expand horizons with new and exciting destinations and attractions; Food and Wine that develop palates and appreciation for all things tasty; and Music and Arts that push the boundaries of self-expression and creativity.
Echoing the “Be A Maximizer” theme, the party immediately heated up when ‘glowing’ performers ignited everyone’s passions in the dark. Internationally recognised champion magician Louis Yan then made a participant’s mobile phone vanish before having it magically reappear, subtly reinforcing the need to fuel our passions and hold on to what are truly important in life.
The festive atmosphere reached a climax when Cantopop band Supper Moment performed their Song of Happiness (幸福之歌) and other hit songs. Having achieved stardom after persevering through the ups and downs of an underground band, Supper Moment use their inspiring and award-winning songs to encourage people to stand firm on their beliefs and follow their dreams.
At the event, Paul Tse, Chief Marketing Officer of FWD Hong Kong and Macau, shared his personal experience living Hong Kong’s hectic lifestyle, noting how easy it would be to let our passions dampen. Yet, he never abandoned his childhood passion for soccer and persisted in working up a sweat in the pitch every weekend, rain or shine. For Paul, keeping up his game is no less important in soccer as in work. After a game, he would reward himself by having great time with close friends over gourmet dishes and fine wine. He even became a certified barista so he can make great coffees for loved ones, truly celebrating living together! FWD MAX originates from FWD’s pledge to fully celebrate life’s passions by transcending traditional industry boundaries through InsurTech, empowering Hong Kong people to live life to the fullest through a wealth of unique experiences.
Paul said, “The aim of FWD MAX is to provide passionate Hong Kong people with an engaging, and convenient platform of exchange, enabling everyone to sweep aside their hesitations and pursue their passions. We hope people can reignite their aspirations, amplify them and take their interests even further.”
By sharing FWD MAX content to spread passions among friends and peers, users earn MAX points to redeem unique experiences, such as a stand-up comedy show by Vivek Mahbubani, an adventure tour with travel photographer Henry Lo, homemade craft beer workshops and BOUNCEfit training programmes. Other exclusive experiences to follow include a fitness party with star coach Ocean Leung and a ‘food jamming’ session with theatre actor Joey Leung.
The “Are You Max?” thematic promotional campaign of the FWD MAX Experiential Platform will kick off on 4 May with a series of webisodes featuring true stories of passionate individuals. They include Hong Kong’s record-breaking 200-meter backstroke swimmer Claudia Lau, Indian Hong Kong comedy artist Vivek Mahbubani, and the well-known Senza A Cappella group. As a forerunner in InsurTech, FWD Hong Kong is committed to developing innovative products and experiences catering to people’s everyday needs and passions.
