Macau, 26 July 2016 – FWD Macau celebrates today the official opening of its new headquarters at Fortuna Business Centre in Macau’s thriving commercial district. The move to Nam Van commercial district reflects FWD Macau’s fast growing business and will enable its continued service commitment to the people of Macau. 

Officiating guests for the opening ceremony of FWD Macau’s new headquarters included Maria Luísa Man, Executive Director, AMCM, Macau Special Administrative Region, and FWD management team. As a prelude to the ceremony, FWD engaged Alain Robert, the daring and internationally renowned free-climber nicknamed “the French spider-man” to celebrate the new headquarters by scaling the building façade. FWD has been inspired by Alain Robert’s adventurous spirit and the daring nature of his climbing career. 

“Our new headquarters at this landmark building in the Nam Van commercial district speaks to our commitment to serve the people of Macau, and contributes to the development of the local economy,” said Huynh Thanh Phong, Chief Executive Officer, FWD Group, at the opening ceremony. “We are focused on growing the FWD brand here in Macau and our investment in a new office facility will support our goal to become a leading insurer in the market.”

For 2015, FWD Macau recorded a 19% annual growth in Value of New Business (VNB) and a 53% annual growth in annualised premiums (APE), while the tied agency force increased for 25% in a year. The new headquarters provides additional space and superior facilities to accommodate the company’s expanding staff and tied agency force, as well as strengthens its capacity to respond to increasing demand for its products and services.”
