FWD Hong Kong’s “Come on, Share Your Passion” campaign received overwhelming response

Over 3,200 videos submitted to express Hong Kong people’s passion and creativity

Hong Kong, 18 June, 2015 - FWD Hong Kong earlier launched the “Come on, Share Your Passion” campaign which invited people to share their passionate moments in life through a 15-second “Get Ready to Live” videos. Over 3,200 quality videos were received in just eight weeks to vividly express the passion and creativity of Hong Kong people through participants’ lenses!

A rich variety of topics were found among the submitted videos. Some captured the dynamic and exciting moments from a first person point of view, e.g. bungee jumping, skiing, paragliding, cycling, while others recorded their passionate and adventurous experiences in unique filming styles and techniques. Some videos took the heart-warming or humorous approach by grasping the precious moments between parents and children, or the joyful interaction with kids and pets.

The judging panel, comprised of professional photographer Franklin Lau, and representatives from Sony and FWD, painstakingly selected from among all the quality entries 10 winning videos which could best inspire others and demonstrate the “Get Ready to Live” spirit. Key factors considered were the degree of passion, creativity, and the uniqueness and impact of the shooting angle. Each of the 10 winners was awarded an “Experience Tour for Two” travel package (valued up to HK$30,000) plus FWD’s travel insurance and a Sony Action Cam HDR-AZ1VR. Total giveaways of the campaign valued up to HK$500,000.

To celebrate the joyful moments with the 10 best video awardees, FWD Hong Kong recently held a “Come on, Share Your Passion” Award Presentation Ceremony. Professional photographer Franklin Lau from the judging panel was invited to share his views about the winning videos with awardees. Following him was the intriguing sharing of popular travel blogger Francis Lee, who brought to guests his adventurous experiences across continents.

The 10 awardees randomly picked their “Experience Tour for Two” destinations from among multiple choices included Bali Indonesian, Osaka Japan, Chiang Mai Thailand and Taitung Taiwan. They then went on to select their preferred experiences from a series of cutting-edge, specifically designed activities, such as diving on Lamay Island, volcano hiking in Bali, wagashi making, paragliding, ninja experience. With a few of the awardees already departed to explore their “Experience Tour for Two”, some are getting ready to set off for their journeys. We look to their sharing of passionate experiences with us back in town.
